Group of Romanian MPs want country's union with the Republic of Moldova
Several Romanian MPs want Romania’s union with the neighboring Republic of Moldova until 2016. They come from all political parties and want to implement some projects, including lobbying, that would lead to this union.
Deputies and senators from all political parties launched a group named “Friends of the Unification” (Prietenii Unirii), which currently consists of 40 people, reports local Romania TV.
The group aims to establish national dialogue to support all projects destined to Romanians abroad, in particular those aiming to facilitate the integration of the Republic of Moldova and Romania on several levels: economic, energy, defense, education, media, infrastructure, social and cultural, legal and institutional.
