Heineken ups Romanian turnover by 9%
Beer producer Heineken Romania posted EUR 213 million in turnover last year (RON 896 million), which was up 9 percent on the previous year. The producer worked on generating more liquidities by reviewing investments, through cost management programs and the management of the work capital, said Jan Derck van Karnebeek, general manager of Heineken Romania. The local beer market dropped by 13 percent, according to data from the Romanian Brewers Association. Van Karnebeek has been recently named GM of Heineken Romania, replacing Edwin Botterman, who went to lead Heineken's Italian subsidiary.
