Hell’s Kitchen cooking show comes to Romania this autumn, poaches chefs from competing Master Chef
Romania’s Master Chef trio will move to Hell’s Kitchen this fall, as the new cooking show will launch on the Romanian market. TV group Antena will start producing the new cooking show Hell’s Kitchen, and has poached the three famous chefs in the jury from the competing ProTV and their local edition of the Master Chef.
Both cooking shows are international formats bought by local TV stations. Master Chef has been runing for four seasons on ProTV, with Florin Dumitrescu, Sorin Bontea and Catalin Scarlatescu as jury. The three will move to Hell’s Kitchen which will be broadcast by Antena 1 starting this autumn.
The trio promises to be even harsher when judging competitors in the Hell’s Kitchen race. "Hell’s Kitchen is an evolution for my career. In the kitchen, things are very much like in the army, and starting this autumn, you will agree with me. James Joyce was saying in Ulysses that God created food, and the Devil created chefs," said Florin Dumitrescu, one of the chefs (pictured, middle).
The Hell’s Kitchen format is widely linked to famous Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsey, who has been the host and producer of the show in the US since 2005. In the US, the show is broadcast by Fox.
Both formats, Master Chef and Hell’s Kitchen gather a host of wannabe chefs competing against each other in different settings and through different challenges.
