Spanish developer starts office building downtown Bucharest
Spanish real estate developer Hercesa could start this year the construction of an office building in downtown Bucharest. The company is currently negotiating with an IT company to sign a pre-lease contract for half of the building.
“If we have this contract, we can access a credit to start the construction,” said Mauricio Mesa Gomez, general manager with Hercesa Romania and Bulgaria, quoted by Capital.
The building will cover 6,500 sqm, 5,000 sqm of which above ground. Hercesa bought the plot in 2008 to build a 12-storey hotel. However, it changed its plans due to the crisis.
The Spanish company is known for developing the residential compound Vivenda in eastern Bucharest and for revamping the Cismigiu hotel.
