German do-it-yourself retailer Hornbach has started arranging its sixth store in Romania, located in Sibiu. The new unit, which will have an area of 12,000 sqm, will be inaugurated this fall.

The store wants to always keep about 30,000 products in stock. It will include over 16,000 sqm of laminate flooring, 8,000 sqm of carpeting and linoleum, 8,000 bulbs and 6,000 linear meters of material for curtains and drapes. The company will allocate a 2,700 sqm area for gardening products.

The new unit will also have a zoo and aquarium area, which will provide 150 species of fish and food and accessories for animals.

Last year, Hornbach reached EUR 107 million in sales in Romania.
