Hourly labor cost goes up by 11% in Romania in Q4
The hourly cost of labor in Romania rose by 11.4% in the last quarter of 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year.
The health and social assistance sectors saw the highest increases in the hourly cost of labor, of 26.5%, as the state rose the salaries in these sectors by 25% starting October 1, 2015, according to the National Statistics Institute.
The education also recorded an increase of 19.3% in the hourly labor cost.
The wages in education rose by 15% whereas the employees in the public sector saw a 10% wage growth starting December 1, last year.
Compared to the previous quarter, the hourly labor costs went up by 6.5% in Q4 2015.
