Some 40% of Romanian consumers expect to increase their online shopping spending, from the current average value of a shopping basket of RON 470 (some EUR 106) a month.

Electronic products will continue to dominate sales, while some of the popular items so far, such as clothes, computers, films and movies will decrease in popularity, according to a study conducted by Gemius, cited by local Mediafax.

The annual online spending of an online user amounts to some RON 2.260 (EUR 511). Most of the money is spent on travel, followed by electronics, smartphone & gadgets, clothes and cosmetics.
