How much do Romanians spend on trips to Thailand?
Over 20,000 Romanian tourists spent their holidays in Thailand in each of the last two years.
On average, a Romanian spent EUR 2,100 for flight, accommodation, meals and tours in the country, representatives of the Thailand Tourism Authority to Romania told local Mediafax.
Romanians stay around 13 days in Thailand and spend an average of EUR 103 per day on accommodation, food, beverages and trips, according to Madalina Nan, PR & Marketing Assistant at TAT Balkan Office. A plane ticket costs around EUR 800 – EUR 850, so the final total average amount is of some EUR 2,100.
The 20,000 Romanians thus spend over EUR 42 million annually on holidays in Thailand. They usually go to Bangkok, Phuket or Pattaya. Thailand makes some EUR 35 billion from tourism every year.
