HP wins EUR 14 mln contract from Romania's Health Ministry
A joint venture led by American company Hewlett-Packard has won a contract of almost EUR 14 million from the Health Ministry through an open auction.
HP will provide the Health Ministry with an IT system that would improve the health services in rural areas, reports local Hotnews.ro. HP will work on this contract with local companies Provus Service Provider and S&T Romania, and will subcontract parts of it to Siveco Romania, Quantrio Consulting, and Avangarde Medical.
The project, which is called Telemedicina, will take six months to implement and will be financed with money from the state budget and non-reimbursable external funds. The system will assist family doctors in villages in solving medical cases with the help of specialists located in other places.
