Chinese telecom equipment producer Huawei will open in Romania its fourth Global Support center in February next year, according to the country's Communication Ministry. Huawei's other support centers are in China, India and Mexico. The company is yet to announce where exactly the center will be located.

Romania's Communications Minister Valerian Vreme has recently met a China Development Bank delegation in Bucharest, as well as Huawei România representatives – general manager Jeff Wang and Vlad Doicaru, head of the enterprise division for Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Founded in 1987, Huawei Technologies is one of the largest providers of IT&C solutions worldwide, with revenues exceeding USD 28 billion in 2010. The company is present in over 140 countries.

Huawei entered the Romanian market in 2004. Huawei Romania posted a turnover of EUR 69.2 million last year, with 140 percent more than the previous year.
