Hungarian Mol ups fuel sales in Romania by 13%

Hungarian fuel distribution company Mol increased its fuel sales by 13% in Romania, in the first six months of the year, following the expansion of its gas stations.

Mol’s diesel sales in Romania increased by 12% to 192,000 tons, whereas the gasoline sales went up by 13% to 69,000 tons. At group level, Mol increased its retail sales by 9% in the first half of the year.

In Romania, the Mol network exceeded 200 gas stations this year, after taking over the 42 Agip service stations from ENI Romania.

Based on the network size, Mol is the fourth largest company in the local market, after OMV Petrom, KMG International (Rompetrol) and Lukoil.
