US company Hunt Oil has moved its London office to Bucharest, after having signed a partnership with OMV Petrom on two exploration licenses in Romania in September last year.

The Bucharest office is led by Mark Sturgess, who said Romania is a strategic hub in the company's regional development, due to its excellent position and to the cooperation with the South East of Europe and to the Middle East.

Hunt Oil Company was founded in 1934. It runs operations in the US, in the Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Yemen and Peru, with exploration activities in European countries, South America, West Africa, Middle East and Australia.
