Iasi municipality invests EUR 17 mln in centralized heating for public buildings
The Iasi municipality in North – Eastern Romania will implement a EUR 17 million project, backed with EU funds, to connect the public buildings in the Copou area of the city to the centralized heating system, according to Ziarul Financiar.
The project, which will be implemented in the next year, consists of installing 16 kilometers of pipes, which will provide heating to 88 public buildings. The city hall expects that this project will help it save some EUR 2.9 million per year in costs related to heating those buildings.
