Ice skating rink to be built in Romania’s Poiana Brasov with EUR 7.9 mln investment
The Romanian Government has recently approved the construction of an ice skating rink at the national sports complex in Romania’s Poiana Brasov mountain resort. The total investment amounts to some EUR 7.9 million (RON 34.4 million). Financing will come from the state budget, through the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism, and from other sources.
The ice rink will have a 1,000 person capacity and a total build area of 5,300 sqm. Its construction is estimated to take 12 months.
According to the Government, this ice rink will facilitate the organization of the European Youth Winter Olympics, which will be held in Romania in February 2013.
