Icelandic artist Olafur Arnalds to perform for the first time in Romania this November

Iclandic artist Olafur Arnalds (in picture) will perform for the first time in Romania in November this year. The concert is part of the artist’s tour to promote his latest album For Now I Am Winter and will take place at ArCuB in Bucharest on November 21.

Born in 1986, Olafur Arnalds is multi-instrumentalist and producer from Iceland, best known for the way he combines classical music, indie-pop, ambient and electronic music in unique compositions.

Starting out as drummer for several hardcore/metal bands , the Icelandic artist composed and recorded the intro and two outros for tracks on the album Antigone by German metal band Heaven Shall Burn in 2004. Three years later, he released his first solo album Eulogy for Evolution, while in 2008, Olafur Arnalds embarked on a tour with the Icelandic band Sigur Ros.

The artist has been involved with various other projects and his music has been used in many films, television shows and advertisements. Find more about Olafur Arnalds here.
