A team of International Monetary Fund experts, accompanied by a team of experts from the European Commission, will return to Romania on Wednesday, April 27, and will leave the country on May 9, after presenting the evaluation of the new stand-by agreement with Romania.
This will be the first evaluation of the new preventive agreement signed by the Government run by Romanian politician Emil Boc.
Romania has a new agreement, worth EUR 5.4 billion with the IMF and the European Commission, since March 11. This money will be used only in case of emergencies. The previous financial agreement signed by Romania, of around EUR 20 billion, out of which around EUR 13 billion from the IMF only, was finalized this year.
