Shrek, Harry Potter, fattest man in the world wax figures go on display in Bucharest

Wax figures representing fictional characters Shrek and Harry Potter, artists Michelangelo, Shakespeare, Leonardo da Vinci and mythology characters Aphrodite, Helen of Troy, the wolf man, Minotaur, Cerberus, Zeus, and even the fattest man in the world will be on display in Bucharest. The National Museum of Geology in Bucharest recently opened the ‘Myth, Fiction and Reality’ temporary exhibition, featuring 37 wax figures from the St. Petersburg Wax Museum.

The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00 until February 8, with a break of five days, between January 19 and 23.  The tickets cost RON 15 for adults and RON 7 for children. The price does not cover the regular museum visit.

Other cities in Romania, such as Ploiesti, Tragu Mures and Cluj will also welcome the wax figures exhibition this year.
