Individuals, self-employed persons can pay taxes and fees by card in Romania
Romania’s Finance Ministry has drafted the list of taxes and fees that can be paid by card at the Treasury’s territorial units by individuals and self-employed persons (PFA).
The payment by card became possible on July 5. Until now, the taxes could be paid in cash only.
The list includes the income tax, the tax on dividends, the pension tax, excise duties as well as taxes for the issue of licenses and operating permits, reports local Profit.ro. The payment facility, however, applies only for individuals and self-employed persons and doesn’t include companies.
Treasury card payments should have become possible last year, based on the politicians’ promises in 2014.
