Industrial production prices rise 0.2% in Romania
Industrial production prices, which include the domestic and foreign market, increased by 0.2% in February over the previous month.
However, they dropped by 1.7% year-on-year, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Compared to January, industrial production prices went up by 0.2% on the domestic market and by 01.% on the foreign market.
The highest price reductions were recorded in the capital goods industry (-0.9%), the intermediate goods industry (-0.7%) and in the durable goods sector (-0.2%).
Prices in the consumer goods industry went up by 0.2% and the ones in the energy industry increased by 2.2%.
Compared to February last year, prices dropped by 0.6% on the domestic market and by 4.1% on the foreign market.
The energy industry prices decreased by 4.4%, followed by the capital goods industry with 2.8% and the intermediary goods industry, with 0.6%. However, the prices in consumer goods industry increased by 0.9%, and the ones in the durable goods industry went up by 1.1%.
