ING Bank Romania ups revenues by a third in the first quarter
ING Bank Romania recorded a 32% increase in revenues in the first three months of this year, to RON 425 million (EUR 91 million).
The gross profit went up by 80%, to RON 214 million (EUR 46 million) and the net profit reached RON 193 million (EUR 41.5 million).
The bank increased its number of clients by 15% in the last year and saw significant increases both in loans and deposits.
The loan portfolio reached RON 21.4 billion (EUR 4.6 billion) at the end of March, up 16% over March 2017. ING Bank thus reached a market share of 8.9% on this segment, up 0.9 percentage points over last year.
The deposit base also increased by 21%, reaching RON 27.9 billion (EUR 6 billion) at the end of March.
