ING Insurance closes down regional center in Cluj
Dutch ING Insurance has decided to close down the regional service center in Cluj, ING Service Center Europe, which was employing 122 people, according to Romania media. The center has been supporting part of the company's operations in the region and was opened in autumn last year. It should have generated 1,000 jobs by 2013.
The decision was triggered by the economic and legislative changes, which have considerably reduced the expected medium-term efficiency for this regional center.
ING representatives say the decision will have no impact on the company's activity in the region, on the customers or on their contracts. The ING Service Center Europe was headquartered in Amera Tower building in Cluj - Napoca.
