Insurer Asirom wants to double gross profit in Romania this year
Insurance company Asirom, part of the Vienna Insurance Group expects an increase in all its financial indicators for 2011 and a doubling of its gross profit, which last year stood at about EUR 4.6 million in Romania.
Revenues from premiums for general insurance went up, reaching EUR 83 million in 2010, while the revenues from premiums for the life insurance also contributed with almost EUR 20.7 million to the overall results. For 2011, Asirom expects a 21.5 percent increase in revenues from gross premiums on all insurance categories.
“Our estimates are based on the market signs, which indicate an improved situation compared to previous years”, said Boris Schneider, CEO of Asirom (in picture). Asirom is a member of the Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) from 2007. On the Romanian market, Vienna Insurance Group also owns BCR Insurance, BCR Life Insurance, Omniasig and Omniasig Life.
