Inter Milano owner Massimo Moratti wants to invest in wind projects in Romania

Italian investor Massimo Moratti (in picture), the president of Italian refining company Saras,  as well as the owner of the Internazionale Milano footbal club expressed his interest to invest in wind projects in Romania, according to the  Romanian Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business. During his visit to Bucharest, Moratti has recently met Ion Ariton, the Romanian Economy Minister, as well as other state officials.

“On that occasion we discussed issues concerning bilateral economic relations, Italian investments in Romania, and opportunities to develop new joint projects regarding the Romanian and Italian businesses. Moratti presented the activity of the Italian company and expressed Saras' interest to invest in wind projects in Romania”, reads a statement from the ministry.

Saras runs activities in the refining industry in Europe. Last year, it posted an EBITDA profit (before taxes) of EUR 223.5 million, while its net result was a loss of EUR 9.5 million, compared to a net profit of EUR 72.6 million in 2009.
