Intercontinental Bucuresti reports profit in 2013
Compania Hoteliera Intercontinental Bucuresti, which manages the five-star Intercontinental Hotel located downtown Bucharest, reported a turnover of RON 43.3 million (EUR 9.8 million) last year, slightly up from the year before, and turned to profit, from a loss of over RON 700,000 (some EUR 157,000).
In 2012, the company had a turnover of some EUR 9.6 million.
“The revenues from accommodation stood at around the same level, influenced by a growth of 5.7 percent in the occupancy rate, but also by the average tariff per room, which recorded a decrease of 5.3 percent compared to 2012,” according to the company’s financial report.
The company’s total revenues decreased to RON 45.6 million (around EUR 10.2 million), from RON 46.6 million (some EUR 10.4 million) the year before.
