25 August 2020

The investments in new accommodation and leisure facilities in the southern part of the Romanian seaside could top EUR 100 million next year, according to local real estate consultancy firm RE/MAX Romania.

The pipeline projects include new hotels as well as the biggest water park in Romania.

This year, the investments inaugurated in the same area totaled more than EUR 50 million, Economica.net reported. The biggest projects were the refurbishment of the Amfiteatru-Panoramic-Belvedere complex in Olimp and the opening of the new hotel Novum by the Sea, also in Olimp.

"Based on the data provided by travel agencies and real estate developers, we estimate that Neptun-Olimp resorts will be the new stars of the real estate market, on the investment and second home premium segment. The available funds will be invested both in hotel units and in amusement parks and new beaches. In addition, a rapid evolution is foreseen in terms of services, which will support a high level of quality, services so sought after by tourists and which, unfortunately, have been lacking so far," said Oana Taraze, partner RE/MAX Top Estate Team.
