Israeli video driver assistance systems supplier Mobileye enters Romanian market

01 April 2011

Mobileye, the Israeli provider of video systems for driver assistance entered the Romanian market in March, through RM Alliance Consulting, the importer of its products on the local market. The companies expect to sell 1,000 accident prevention devices in the first year in Romania.

Mobileye has two models on sale in Romania: one that warns the driver when getting too close to the car in the front or when skipping lanes without signaling and one which also features warning for pedestrian (daytime only), motorcycles and bikes.

The price for a Mobileye system is around EUR 770. Company officials said that the warning system can reduce the RCA and CASCO policy cost by 10-15 percent and can also reduce the number of road accidents by 60 percent.
