Italian Carmignola to play his Stradivarius Baillot violin at Bucharest charitable concert

Italian violinist Giuliano Carmignola will perform during a charity concert in Romania on October 25, on the birthday of Romanian King Michael I.

The concert, organized by the Foundation Principesa Margareta a României, led by Michael I's daughter princess Margareta, is part of the sixth edition of the Royal Charity Concert, which takes part every year at the Romanian Athenaeum.

Proceedings from this concert will go to the scholarships program Young Talents.

Giuliano Carmignola, a Treviso-born violinist, will play in Bucharest on King Michael I's 92nd birthday.

Carmignola will interpret pieces by Antonio Vivaldi, who will be accompanied by the women ensemble La Stravaganza.

Carmignola will bring his Stradivarius Baillot violin to the Bucharest concert.

He received the violin from Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna for his artistic results and for his dedication while collaborating with the Mozart Orchestra.

He was also awarded the title of "Academician of the Royal Philharmonic Academy of Bologna" and "Academician of Santa Cecilia."

Tickets for the show in Bucharest cost between RON 200 and 400 and can be bought online from myticket.ro. The concert will be aired live by Radio Romania Muzical, while a recording of the show will also be broadcast on TVR 2.
