Italian company Walter Tosto invests EUR 30 mln in Bucharest factory
Italian producer of equipment for the oil and gas industry Walter Tosto, which took over the Nuclear Energy Components and Equipments Factory (FECNE) in Bucharest earlier this year, will invest EUR 30 million in the factory, according to the company.
“The FECNE project, apart from the purchase price of EUR 7 million, will have an investment plan valuing EUR 30 million, for innovation and professional development,” reads the company statement.
FECNE was bought in 1998 by the Norwegian Kvaerner group and taken over in 2002 by Nuclearmontaj, part of the Tender Group, controlled by business man Ovidiu Tender.
In 2006 FECNE entered into liquidation and in 2011 it was acquired by Romenergo.
The Italian company Walter Tosto was founded in 1960 by the Italian businessman Walter Tosto and is currently headed by Tosto family.
