IT&C retailer Domo restarts expansion, wants two more stores in Romania this year

IT&C retailer Domo has re-started expansion with a new store in Piatra Neamt, in the Hermes Shopping Center, and plans to add two more stores this year. “The opening in Piatra Neamt is part of our expansion plan for 2012, when we plan to open two more stores,” said Lorand Szarvadi, CEO of Domo.

The investment in the new store stood at EUR 250,000, excluding the value of stock. The new store has generated sales of EUR 10,000 in its first three days of business  and attracted 3,000 shoppers.

Domo retail, with 100 stores and a turnover of EUR 175 million in 2011, has 1,550 employees in Romania. The retailer is owned by the investment fund Trans Balkan Investments and Lorand Szarvadi.
