Jazz festival to bring local, international musicians to Garana in SW Romania
The village of Garana in the South West of Romania will host the 17th edition of its jazz festival and bring a wealth of local and international musicians and bands to the village in mid-July. Scheduled to start on July 12 and end on July 15, the jazz festival will feature UK's Portico Quartet, Dave Holland Prism from US, Carlos Bica Azul from Portugal and Romanian Emy Dragoi and the Jazz hot Club de Roumanie, among others.
The village in Caras Severin county, 50 km away from Resita is easiest reached by car. Trains run to Resita and Caransebes. The nearest airports are in Timisoara in Romania and Novi Sad and Beograd in Serbia.
Tickets for the festival cost RON 60 a day and RON 200 for the entire festival and can be bought at the venue during the festival.
Concerts will start daily at 19:00 and will be followed by After parties with Circus Hoppa with Djimbolia. Several book launches and art exhibitions will also be organized on the festival premises.
