JW Marriott Bucharest renovates Constanta Ballroom and small conference rooms with EUR 0.7 mln

JW Marriotts's renovation projects in Bucharest ended earlier in March this year, with the redevelopment of Constanta Ballroom and the small conference rooms, for which the investment amounted to EUR 730,000. In 2010 JW Marriott Bucharest started to renovate all the conference rooms and public spaces of the hotel. The first step was to renovate the Grand Ballroom and public area on the first floor, including Vienna Lounge.  Then, in 2011, renovations continued with the opening of JW Steakhouse.

The complete renovation of these conference rooms took some six weeks, and included the replacement of doors and carpets, and replacing the audio system, video and audio connectivity, iPod controlled central panels, including curtains and lighting.

The Grand, the company which owns the JW Marriott Hotel in Bucharest and the Grand Offices, saw turnover increase by 7.4 percent in the first part of this year, suggesting half year turnover of EUR 12 million. For the full year, the company expects a turnover of around EUR 24 million.
