Hypermarket chain Kaufland Romania and supermarket network Lidl have accepted payments with electronic food vouchers starting yesterday.

These are rapidly replacing the classic paper food vouchers given by many employers in Romania to their employees, according to voucher distributor Up Romania.

Following these agreements, the electronic food vouchers are now accepted by all the big retailers with national presence in Romania. The electronic food vouchers were introduced in Romania at the beginning of 2015.
