Labor inspectors find 14,000 illegal workers in Romania
Labor inspectors found last year over 14,000 people who worked illegally and imposed fines of over EUR 13.9 million.
It discovered most illegal labor cases in Arad (1,269), Bucharest (1,172) and Galati (1,029), according to Romania’s Labor Inspectorate, reports local Mediafax.
Black labor was mainly used in construction and installation, retail, services and bakery.
Labor inspectors also made 333 proposals for criminal investigation against company administrators for working with more than five people without employment contracts.
