UPDATE: Lady Gaga's concert in Romania scheduled for August this year
American singer Lady Gaga will perform in Romania on August 16 this year, at the National Arena stadium in Bucharest, according to Romanian media, quoting sources with the organizers. Lady Gaga's concert would thus be scheduled before the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, at the stadium on August 31.
Tickets for the event in Bucharest will soon be on sale, at prices between RON 130 and RON 495. The artist has announced the dates of her upcoming concerts in Europe on her social media accounts. Her Europe tour this summer includes Sofia, Vienna, Vilnius and Riga, as well as London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona.
Lady Gaga, by her real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is a 26-year old American singer and song writer who has become famous worldwide, having sold over 15 million album copies and 51 million single disks throughout the world. She exceeded the 1 billion views threshold on YouTube in October last year.
Lady Gaga's international fame started in 2008, when she launched the album 'The Fame', which became a huge commercial success. Her songs topped charts around the world, including the international number-one singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face'. In 2012, Gaga was ranked at number four on Billboard's list of top moneymakers of 2011, grossing more than USD 25 million.
She has been both acclaimed and criticized for the outfits she wears in her videos and during her tours, being compared to Madonna and Marylin Manson at the same time.
