Turkish retailer LC Waikiki, active on the local clothing retail market since 2009, will invest EUR 3.6 million to open three new stores by the end of this year, company representatives have said, reports local Wall-street.ro.

LC Waikiki has invested about EUR 1.2 million in the 800-sqm new store in the Plaza Romania shopping center in Bucharest. The company plans to sell by the end of the year 2 million clothing items for women, men, youth and children.

"I think that LC Waikiki has great potential on the Romanian market and could be represented by 40 stores throughout the country," said Burҫ Korkmazlar, Central and Eastern Europe Operations Director of LC Waikiki.

The company posted a EUR 14.4 million turnover in Romania last year.
