LC Waikiki opens EUR 1 million big box store in Militari Shopping in Romania

Turkish retailer LC Waikiki has invested EUR 1 million in its new 1,100 sqm big box format store in the Militari Shopping retail park in Romania's capital city Bucharest. The lease was intermediated by Cushman & Wakefield. LC Waikiki is the brand name of Tema Group, a ready to wear company in Turkey. With 300 stores throughout Turkey, LC Waikiki runs six stores in Romania, the one in Militari being the 7th. It has 100 employees in Romania.

LC Waikiki has two shops in AFI Palace Cotroceni (LC Waikiki and X- Side) and one in Unirea Shopping Center Bucharest, Atrium Center Arad, City Park Constanta and Gold Plaza Baia Mare.

Militari Shopping was launched in 2009 and includes retailers such as Decathlon, C&A, Hervis, NewYorker, Deichmann, Humanic, Takko Fashion, Kiabi, Auchan, Media Galaxy, Jysk.

Militari Shopping was developed and is owned by Land Development Proiect SRL, part of Atrium European Real Estate Limited. In early 2011 the company Atrium was active in 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, owning 154 real estates with a total market value of about EUR 2,2 billion.
