Lenovo launches five smartphones in Romania
Chinese tech company Lenovo has officially entered the smartphone market in the European Union with the launch of five models on the Romanian market.
“We estimate sales of 100,000 units by the end of the fiscal year ending in March 2015,” Aurel Netin, country manager Lenovo Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, told local Ziarul Financiar.
The five smartphones are S860, S850, A859, A536 and A328 models. They can currently be found in the offers of Romanian telecom company RCS&RDS and eMag and Flanco retailers.The smartphones' strating prices vary between RON 500 (some EUR 113) and RON 1,200 (EUR 273).
In April-June 2014 fiscal quarter, Lenovo sold more smartphones than PCs at a global level, reporting a record level of 15.8 million units, up 39% year-on-year.
