Lenovo reaches 160 employees in Romania, moves to bigger office
Technology company Lenovo Romania increased its team to 160 employees and moved to new offices in Bucharest, the company announced.
Lenovo recently took over 148 programmers and sales people from IBM, once the transfer of IBM’s international X86 server division to the Chinese computer manufacturer was completed. Before that, Lenovo had a team of only 12 people in Romania, consisting of management and sales.
Lenovo Romania also took over IBM’s largest research and development laboratory after the one in Raleigh, in the U.S.
The new Lenovo offices in Bucharest are located in a new building in the Aviatiei area, in Northern Bucharest. According to the company’s representatives, the new workspace was set up so that people can work sitting on high chairs or even standing on their feet, so that they can change posture during the long hours in front of the computers.
