Leo Burnett appoints Lorand Balint as new managing director
Lorand Balint (in picture) is the new managing director of advertising agency Leo Burnett & Target, as of May 2013, according to the company. From this position, Lorand Balint will concentrate on business development, mainly focusing on new business areas, on increasing the agency’s performance in new communication segments, on coordinating its departments, as well as consolidating relations with current customers.
With 13 years of experience in advertising and communications, Lorand Balint started his career in this field in 2000, as strategic planner at BBDO. Afterwards, Balint joined the Leo Burnett & Target team, where he has held several managing positions, such as regional communications manager Balkans, regional communications manager Europe, global communications manager, regional communications Sub-Saharian Africa, group communications director Balkans, head of brand communication, global communications director and chief digital officer.
Lorand Balint studied at Universiteit Antwerpen, Institute of Leadership & Management UK, Universite de Montreal - HEC Montreal, after having graduated in marketing at the Academy of Economic Studies and getting a master’s degree in advertising from Bucharest University. He is an associate professor at the Romanian-Canadian MBA and partner at Platypus Group. Check out his CV here.
