Libraries' Night to take over Romania this October
Libraries' Night, an event that wants to promote reading and going to the library, will be held on the night of October 1, between 18:00 - 4:00 hours, in the center of Bucharest and in the rest of the country.
During the event, writers, critics, and poets will tell their reading experiences, and unplugged concerts will be held. The mission of the Libraries' Night is to promote going to the library, reading for pleasure and the need for documentation, in digital context of 2011.
“If at least a quarter of those who have been through a library once in the last 10 years would return at least once a year in a reading room, the mood in the Romanian libraries would change significantly”, according to the event’s website.
The Libraries Night's organizers are Excedo Association in partnership with the National Association of Public Libraries and Librarians in Romania (ANBPR) and the Marketer Club Association.
