Loans up by 0.3% in Romania in October, to EUR 48 billion
Loans to households and companies increased in October by 0.3% compared to the previous month, to EUR 48 billion, and were down by 3.3% compared to October 2013.
Loans in local currency increased by 1% compared to September this year and by 8.1% compared to October last year, to EUR 21 billion, reports local Mediafax.
Loans in foreign currencies were down by 0.2% compared to the previous month and down by 10.6% compared to October 2013, reaching EUR 27 billion.
Loans to individuals recorded an advance of 1.7%, respectively 14.7%, to nearly EUR 8.7 billion, while corporate loans were up by 0.6% compared to September and up by 3.8 % compared to October last year, to EUR 12 billion.
