Local telecom sells cheapest electricity in Romania
Local telecom player RCS&RDS sold last month the cheapest electricity in Romania.
The one-year contract, which RCS&RDS closed with companies from the industrial platform in Oradea, western Romania, provides electricity for RON 130 (EUR 29.2) per megawatt, reports local Dailybusiness.ro.
This is 23% cheaper compared to the price offered by Electrica, Romania’s largest electricity distribution and supply group in Romania.
In the last years, local investor Zoltan Teszari, who owns RCS & RDS, has bought seven solar parks, with a 23.5 megawatt production capacity.
In April 2013, the company registered at Romania's energy authority (ANRE) as an electricity trader and has traded energy on the local power exchange OPCOM since December last year.
