Tracking the location of callers to the emergency number 112 will be made with greater accuracy and within maximum 20 seconds from their initiation, announced on Friday the National Communications Authority (ANCOM).

The mobile network providers will be obliged to take all the necessary measures in order to allow mobile phones to send information about their location to the National System for Emergency Calls - SNUAU within maximum 20 seconds. This applies to mobile phones that have the necessary technical capabilities for this.

To improve the capacity of SNUAU, telecom operators will be obliged to make available any other information that they own or they can obtain for a more precise determination of the location.
