Low unemployment puts Romania among EU’s top 10
Romania is among the EU countries with the lowest unemployment rates, according to March data from Eurostat. Romania ranks 8th, with 4.5% unemployment.
The Czech Republic leads the ranking, with a 2.2% jobless rate while Greece has the highest unemployment: 20.6%.
The jobless rate has dropped in the EU since the same period of last year, except for Lithuania – where it stayed stable, and Estonia, where the rate increased. The EU had 3.5 million unemployed under 25 years old, down by 400,000 people on the same period of 2017.
