Lucian Ban and group of jazz musicians play Enescu Re-Imagined at the Romanian Atheneum

Romanian-born pianist Lucian Ban will play in the 'Enescu Re-Imagined” concert at the Romanian Atheneum (in picture) this fall, along with John Hebert and other jazz musicians in New York. The concert will take place on September 22nd.

The entire band also includes Badal Roy, Ralph Alessi, Gerald Cleaver, Mat Maneri, Tony Malaby and Albrecht Maurer.

The 'Enescu Re-Imagined concert was first presented in the George Enescu international festival last year, when it was also presented at the Merkin Concert Hall in New York.

Lucian Ban leads three bands. Elevation, the quartet Asymmetry, and Tuba Project.

Ban will be playing along Mat Maneri this Sunday, August 7th, at the Green Hours cafe in Bucharest, the 'Soundtrack for Andy Warhols' Screen Tests'
