Maastricht School of Management Romania elects ING Bank CEO as advisory board chairman

23 May 2012

ING Bank Romania CEO Misu Negritoiu is the new chairman of the Maastricht School of Management Romania's advisory board. He joins an all star cast of Romanian business luminaries, including President and CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Steven van Groningen and GECAD Group president Radu Georgescu, among others. It is hoped the new board will contribute to the improvement of the school's programs. “As a management school, our most important customer is the community in which we operate. The Advisory Board, which represents a cross-section of businesses, the public sector and NGOs in Romania, enables us to be closer to our customer and maintain the relevancy of MSM Romania and its curriculum,” said the school's dean, Oliver Olson.

Negritoiu said he trusted the school's programs and spoke of a need for quality business education in Romania. “We suffer from a very general approach and Romanian education, as well as the business environment, need pragmatic, efficient approaches.”

Currently CEO of ING Bank in Romania, Misu Negritoiu previously held various management positions with the bank, as well as serving as an MP in Romania's Chamber of Deputies. He studied economics at the University of Bucharest.
