Major projects in Romania’s development strategy
Romania should build an underground tunnel under the Parliament Palace in the future and develop an Aqualand agreement center in the Dudestii Noi village in the west of the country, according to the Romania’s Strategic Territorial Development Concept drawn up by the Government.
The country should also build underground parking below Bucharest’s Sala Palatului concert hall and the Gradina Icoanei park, reads the same document which includes projects that should contribute to Romania’s development in the next 20 years, reports local Profit.ro.
The strategy also includes projects such as building homes for young people, especially in the towns with over 20,000 inhabitants.
Bucharest’s main train station Gara de Nord should be modernized, and underground tunnels between Gara de Nord, Gara Obor, and Gara de Sud should be built. Bucharest should also get a new airport in the south of the city.
Scientific and technology parks should be established in several towns and cities, whereas industrial parks should be built in tens of places in Romania.
