Around 80 percent of Romanians have dental problems, while 70 percent of Europeans are happy with their dental health, according to a recent study. The most common problem for Romanians is represented by dental cavities. Brushing teeth is the main dental hygiene routine Romanians follow.

The study also reveals that four out of ten people have problems caused by bacteria, and three out of ten have bad breath and sensitive teeth. The most frequent symptoms for sensitive teeth are pain when eating cold or hot food – 91 percent, followed by pain when eating sweet or sour food – 5- percent, or when in contact with cold air – 47 percent.
