Some of the world’ most attractive employers have operations in Romania as well. A recent ranking by Universum lists the top most attractive employers in the world. The top 10 in engineering is made of Google, Microsoft, BMW Group, Apple, GE, IBM, Intel, Siemens, Sony and Shell.  Of these, only Apple and Shell do not have offices in Romania. Shell has in fact exited the Romanian market completely in 2007.

The top 10 employers on Universum’s business list are Google, EY, Goldman Sachs, PwC, Microsoft, Apple, Deloitte, KPMG, Coca-Cola and P&G. Only Apple and Goldman Sachs do not have local offices and local operations. Apple works via a local official distributor, and Goldman Sachs is active via its other regional offices.
