The Brasov Court recently sentenced Constantin Boscodeala, the mayor of Buzau and a member of the Social Democrat Party (PSD), to five years in prison for abuse of office.

The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors indicted him in July 2013 for having illegally given over EUR 360,000 from the local budget to the Football Club Gloria Buzau.

The recent sentence is not final, reports local Hotnews.ro.
